MY TIME IN THE MERCHANT FLEET

At the "DSR" I learned my profession as ABLE Sailor in 1978 (VD5). My first training ship was called MV "GEORG BÜCHNER", my second training and cargo ship was called MV"J.G. Fichte".

After training time, I worked on the general cargo freighter MV "ANTON SAEFKOW", heading for Westafrica and to harbours in the Mediterranean Sea.

It was a good time :-)
